About The Design
The third version of the iconic Apollo Carbon Fiber Ring that launched Black Lume into the stratosphere on Kickstarter years ago. This design is the culmination of years and years of glow development. We are reverting back to the original style but with a new glow.
What makes this new glow unique is it is the same color during the day as it is while glowing. We were able to make the have a daytime tint without sacrificing glow power.
How it works
It requires 30 seconds of sunlight, a uv light (aka black light), or just about any bright light will charge it up. It glows in the dark and the darker the room, the longer and more intense the glow is just like the lume on a high end diving watch.
Carbon Fiber is hypoallergenic, people with traditional metal allergies can wear these rings. Because it's made of carbon fiber makes it extremely lightweight and durable.
Currently Only New Cobalt will be available! We are going to produce them one at a time to save us on spending tens of thousands of dollars all at once and to allow you to collect them more easily.
Handmade to order
Every Black Lume ring is crafted and finished by hand, one at a time. Small variations are part of what makes each piece individual rather than mass-produced. Please allow 2–4 weeks for crafting before shipping; carrier transit time begins after the ring is complete.
How the glow works
The luminous material is photoluminescent—there are no batteries or electronics. Charge it with direct sunlight, UV light, or another strong light source. It will glow brightest immediately after charging, then gradually soften in darkness. Brightness and duration vary with the light source, charging time, glow color, and surrounding darkness. Recharge it whenever you want.
Choosing your ring size
Sizes are listed in U.S. ring sizing. Please confirm your size with a jeweler or rigid ring sizer before ordering; string and printable guides can be inaccurate. Band width and profile affect fit, and wider rings may feel more snug. If you are between sizes, contact us before placing your order.
Final sale + first-order resize
Because your ring is handcrafted to your selected size and finish, all sales are final. Your first Black Lume ring order includes one complimentary resize. Contact us before sending it back; some materials cannot be resized traditionally, so the correct sizing solution may require a size-corrected remake or exchange.

Handcrafted and hand-finished using premium ring blanks, high-purity resin, and high-output photoluminescent material. Natural variation is part of the piece.
